Confessions of a food lover...

It's no wonder I love food.

My Aunt makes the most gorgeous and most delicious cakes, my Uncle could win a jambalaya cook-off, my Grandmother grows THE best cucumbers (and hasn't ever cooked a bad meal), my Mom's peach cobbler is to die for, and my sister makes the best red beans and rice this side of Texas. I'm not really sure they know what real red beans and rice is on the other side of Texas, but you get the idea!

Add in a little of 'born and raised in South Louisiana' and package it up, and you've got a recipe for some amazing food! Even Pinterest would drool.

Needless to say, I'm also picky about the taste of my food.

So I went looking to find healthy food that was also great tasting. Easy, right? Wrong!

Have you ever eaten a plain tuna sandwich with just wheat bread and tuna? I wouldn't recommend you should (healthy is not always appealing). That's what I ate for lunch. Every day. For 3 months. Bleh.

Then I found an amazing website. It had exercise plans and recipes to go along with them! Perfect!
(if you haven't checked out http://www.bodybuilding.com you really should!)

Because of my new-found love of the gym, and my love for food, I thought I'd start a new segment on the blog about fitness and the food that goes along with it! I'll be reviewing and sharing recipes and exercises. Whether you want to find healthy, yummy food, or whether you want to look amazing in your photos in that strapless dress, I'm here for you!

Be sure to post up any questions or anything you'd like me to cover! You can leave a comment here, or on our facebook page (link at the top!) I'd love to hear from you :)

And because every post is better with a picture, here's a photo from our recent trip up to Colorado.
