We spent the afternoon in on some gorgeous family property!! The huge old oak trees drenched in moss?? Amazing! Such a perfect background to this super cute couple!!

The rain held off (although the few drizzles made it super humid) and these two were turning up the heat themselves! Can't wait for Jessica and Nathan's wedding in November!!!

Ashley and Kyle - Engagement Sneak Peek

For weeks I'd drive around looking for THE field. You know, the one that just calls your name and screams 'take my picture!' as you drive by. Every one I found was just a 'yeah, that's pretty' kind of field that I wouldn't settle for. Every few days, I was out driving again. Field scouting.

Good thing I was. Each sugar cane field I found was already cut by the next time I drove by. That gorgeous hay field? Freshly rolled hay bales the next day.

Then I saw it. I'd driven past this field many times before. Often telling brides I'd love to use this location for a bridal shoot. No one saw what I saw. Until today.

Ashley and Kyle, you are amazing! Thank you so much for believing in "the field". And Ashley, you are GORGE! Just sayin' ;)

Brittany and Justin : St Francisville Louisiana Engagements

The day was perfect as we headed to St Francisville.  Not too hot. Not too cold. And the light? Absolutely gorgeous (even with the ever-changing clouds)!  This is a couple that is near and dear to me.  Justin has been my husband's friend since they were very young children.  I was so excited when they asked me to be their wedding photographer!  How could I say no to these faces?!

They are gorgeous people, and the camera loves them!

I enjoyed the day, strolling around St Francisville, capturing the essence of all that is "Brittany and Justin".

As the day ended, we enjoyed a nice meal with friends. And did I forget to mention the ferry ride??!! Oh how I love the St Fransisville Ferry! Reminds me of my dad :)
