I love Surprises!!!

My sister starts making her Christmas list for the next year right after Christmas. There's never any doubt what to get her. I'm the complete opposite. I never make lists or ask for anything.

This year I got some pretty big surprises. I even didn't have to wait until Christmas!

Brandon bought me a new car!

Yes, it took us a while to get photos of it - on account of all the rain we've had. We finally had a clear day and were able to get a few photos!!

Here's my shiny new Subaru WRX! It will soon be the face of our automotive photography line.
If you look close enough, you might be able to find the reason we had to get the new car... my first "before Christmas" surprise :)

I love how Brandon and I both have different ways of shooting the same subject - whether it's cars or our brides!

This was only an initial photoshoot, just like with the Mazdaspeed3. Keep a look out for more photos of both cars!! (and more on our automotive photography line!)

Lighting the Speed

I remember handing my dad tools as his legs stuck out from under a transmission from the time I learned to walk. Helping bleed clutches and brakes ever since I could reach the pedals (and even before - leaning back on the seat, gripping the steering wheel, and pushing down the pedals- listening for instructions). I've installed heads, headers, exhaust systems, and even superchargers. I love cars. All things automotive. It's no wonder that I'm fascinated with automotive photography.

Meet our Speed. A Mazdaspeed 3 to be exact. She's already had a few things done, but will be getting some extensive under-hood changes -- and like every girl about to go through changes, she needed a 'before' photoshoot!! What better time to test out our new lighting setup, right?!

*These photos never entered photoshop and have had minor color corrections (obviously the black and white was turned black and white)

Let us know what you think!!
